Scope and Contents This collection contains two broadsides distributed by Guatemalan President José Rafael Carrera y Turcios in 1857 that announce battle results against William Walker in Nicaragua. One broadside announces the surrender of William Walker and one broadside welcomes home troops from the battlefront. Both broadsides are written in Spanish.
